The horse world is behind the dog world in applying positive reinforcement training. Clicker training uses the principles of learning theory to teach our animals. Just as it can be used to teach tigers in zoos how to accept an injection, we can use it to teach our horses anything!
I am trained and skilled in the use of clicker training. Let me show you how to use this with your horse to teach everything from picking up feet to loading in a trailer.

Private clicker training sessions:
Price: $175 (2 weeks)
Two 60 minute in-person sessions:
The first session will start without your horse, as I teach you the principles of clicker training, and how to refine your timing and treat delivery. We will then begin to teach your horse a behavior (such as touching a target) using clicker training.
In the second session we will begin to teach the horse other behaviors, such as stationing or moving to touch a cone.

I use clicker training to teach my mustang to stand in place despite a lot of distractions! We are now using this for grooming, picking out feet, and all sorts of other uses.
